Hartahub is a co-broking platform for property agents in Malaysia. This policy explains what account, listing, and payment data we collect, why we collect it, and who we share it with. It applies to every page under hartahub.com.my.
What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your full name, email address, and password. Phone number and REN (Registered Estate Negotiator) number are optional - REN number is what we check before showing the gold verified tick on your profile.
When you post a listing or a buyer requirement, we store what you enter: property type, state, area, price or budget range, tenure, lot status, bedroom/bathroom counts or land size, your description text, and a photo if you upload one. Free-tier accounts submit a photo link instead of a file, in which case we store the link, not the image itself.
We also keep a session cookie so you stay logged in between visits, and basic server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page) for debugging and abuse prevention.
What we don't collect
We never see or store your card or bank details. Payments for Pro and Premium plans are processed entirely by BayarCash (bcl.my); Hartahub only receives confirmation that a payment succeeded, plus the reference ID needed to activate your plan.
How we use it
- Matching your listings against other agents' buyer requirements (and vice versa) by property type, state, and budget.
- Showing your name, verified tick, and plan badge to other agents when a match appears on their dashboard.
- Locking or unlocking contact details on a match based on your plan - Free shows a match exists, Pro and Premium reveal phone numbers so agents can co-broke directly.
- Sending you account-related notices, such as a password change confirmation or a payment receipt.
We do not sell your data, and we do not run third-party advertising or tracking scripts on Hartahub.
Who we share it with
- BayarCash (bcl.my) - processes Pro and Premium payments. See their own privacy policy for how they handle payment details.
- Cloudinary - hosts photos uploaded by Pro and Premium agents, since Render's free hosting tier doesn't keep local files between deploys.
- MongoDB Atlas - stores your account, listings, requirements, and session data.
- Render - hosts the Hartahub application itself.
Other agents on Hartahub can see whatever you choose to post publicly - your listing details, and your name once a match is unlocked. They cannot see your email, password, or account settings.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and listing data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a listing or buyer requirement, it's removed from the matching pool immediately. To close your account and have your personal data removed, email us at the address below - we'll action it within 14 days, except where we're required to keep payment records for tax purposes.
Your rights under the PDPA
Hartahub processes personal data in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010. You can ask us at any time to access the personal data we hold on you, correct it, or withdraw consent for us to process it (which, in practice, means closing your account, since the service can't function without it).
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes - anything that affects how your existing data is used - will also be emailed to registered agents.
